Memory Match support

A picture-matching memory game for one or two people, on iPhone, iPad, Apple Vision Pro and Apple Watch. No account, no sign-in, and the main games work offline.

Updated 31 October 2026 · Developer: Zencora (Justin Nichols)

Need a person? Email info@zencoraneuro.com. Say which device (iPhone, iPad, Vision Pro or Watch), its OS version, which game and board size you were in, and what you expected instead. In a beta, the build number is on the badge at the bottom of the screen.

What Memory Match is

Turn over two cards; if they match they stay up. Clear the board in the fewest moves. Decks include French bulldogs, cats, animals, shapes and colours, plus learning packs and maths packs. Results, bests and leaderboards are kept on your device, and two people can play on one screen, on two nearby devices, or across houses with SharePlay.

The games, two lines each

Picture matching
Tap a pictured game on the first screen (Match Frenchies, Match Cats, Animal Match) or open More matching games for shapes, colours and Similar Cats. Each pictured game has six exact pairs; shapes come in six, ten or fifteen pairs.
Solo Practice
One screen, one player. Your best for each game and board size is kept on the device.
Two-Player Face-Off
One board between you, a name at each end, taking turns; your name lights up when it is your go. Choose "A board each" to draw the board twice, one copy the right way up for each player.
Two-Player Race
Each player gets their own copy of the same shuffle on their half of the screen. Taps only affect your board; first to clear all pairs wins.
Match + count
A solo challenge: keep matching while counting the small stars above the board (circles do not count). Answer when the board is clear; the answer is saved with the game.
Cube Match and Cube Race
Drag to turn a cube with picture panels on six faces, tap two panels to find a pair; Next Face is the button alternative. Easy, Medium, Hard and Hardest set the pairs (three to fifteen); Cube Race gives each player a cube with the same shuffle.
Spatial Memory
Under More Games: study a cube's colours and dots, hide it, then turn, tip and roll your cube back to the remembered orientation. Five cubes make a round; "Keep reference visible" turns it into rotation practice.
Learning and maths packs
Match words to meanings, capitals to states, symbols to elements and more. Some packs are bought once through the App Store; a pack that is not in the store yet plays free.
Creativity
Name ten words as different from each other as you can, in two minutes; the first seven valid words are scored on the device. Mark a test "before" or "after" a session to see whether sessions change your score over weeks.
Play on Two Devices (nearby)
Open the screen on both devices; they find each other on the same Wi-Fi or directly, with no code to type. Type your name first so the other device does not call you Player 1; then take turns or race.
Play Across Houses (SharePlay)
Both open Memory Match; one taps Start SharePlay and picks the other person, nearby or on FaceTime; the other accepts. One player chooses turns or race and starts the board.
Players & Results and Leaderboards
Add nicknames, choose who is playing, and see wins, personal bests and recent games on this device. Leaderboards compare each saved player's best solo game per game and board size: fewest moves, then time.
How to play
Open "How to play" on the iPhone or iPad home screen for a short narrated overview. "Save the overview as a narrated video file" renders it as an MP4 on the device, and "Share the overview video" then opens the share sheet.
Siri and Shortcuts
Shortcuts can start a board of a chosen pack or size, or the cube. They are refused while a two-device game is in progress, so nobody's board disappears mid-game.
Apple Vision Pro
The cards are placed around you in your room or a chosen world, so remembering a card means remembering where to look. Nearby race pairs two headsets on the same Wi-Fi; Play together shares one board over SharePlay.
Apple Watch
Two games: Match Cards (twelve cards) and Match the Cube, turned with the Digital Crown. The watch keeps its own best time per game and size. Finished games appear on your phone under your player; Labs adds a live heart-rate readout, off by default, with an optional "Breathe first" pause before each game.

Troubleshooting

Nearby play shows nothing, or says it is waiting for the network
iOS asks each device once for permission to find devices on the local network; if nothing appears, check Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network and make sure Memory Match is on. Both devices need to be on the same Wi-Fi, or close enough for Apple's direct link. A screen that says a device is waiting for the network is that permission, or no network at all. On Vision Pro the same permission applies to Nearby race.
The other device refused the board
The two devices built different decks from the same seed, which means they run different versions of Memory Match. Update both and start again.
SharePlay will not start or connect
Each device needs its own Apple Account, and SharePlay must be allowed in Settings. With no FaceTime call running, Start SharePlay opens the system share menu, which offers people nearby as well as FaceTime; if nobody joins, start a FaceTime call first and tap Start SharePlay again. The game has two seats, so a third participant is turned away. "Both players need the same Memory Match update" means exactly that. On Vision Pro, both headsets need the same version of the shared experience.
The other player left mid-game
On two nearby devices the board stays where it is and the device that dropped rejoins the same board on its own when it comes back (for up to two minutes). Over SharePlay, rejoin the shared activity to continue, or leave the game. On Vision Pro you can continue the board alone.
A pack says it is not in the store yet, or a purchase did not go through
A pack with no live store product cannot be bought and plays free until it is listed. If you bought a pack or plan on another device, tap Restore Purchases; it asks Apple to sync your purchases to this device. Purchases are made and refunded through Apple, not through us.
The cube is locked (Vision Pro)
On the headset, finish two boards of ten pairs or more to unlock the cube; the lobby says how many are left. On iPhone and iPad, Cube Match is open from the start.
Watch Labs says heart rate is not available or permission was not granted
Labs needs a watch with a heart-rate sensor and Health permission. In the Health app's sharing settings for Memory Match, allow heart rate, heart rate variability, heartbeat series and workouts, then turn Labs off and on again. Nothing is saved to Health; the workout session is discarded when the game ends.
My watch games are not on my phone
Open Memory Match on the phone so it can tell the watch which player you are; a game finished before the watch knew your player still reaches the phone, labelled with the watch's own name, but is not filed under a player in Players & Results. Results travel over Apple's watch link and arrive when the phone is in range.
The Record button says microphone access is off (beta builds only)
Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone, then turn Memory Match on. Voice notes stay on your device; see the privacy policy.
Does it work offline?
Solo, shared-screen, cube, spatial and Creativity play need no network. Nearby play needs the two devices to see each other; SharePlay needs the internet.

What you need

Privacy

Players, results, notes and Creativity words stay on your device; nearby and SharePlay players see your chosen name and the game state; the watch's heart-rate numbers never leave the watch. The full policy is at zencora.app/memory-match/privacy, and it is also bundled in the app under Players & Results.
